Currently, I am a third grade teacher at Grove Hill Elementary. My educational background includes the following: Clarke County School District (elementary-high school), Bachelor in Science (University of West Alabama), Master's Degree in Early and Elementary Education (University of West Alabama). My experiences add up to 20+ years.

Additionally, I work as a Lead Teacher and STEAM's Instructor in our 21st Century Community Learning Center. I was nominated and chosen as Grove Hill Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2009. It was an extreme honor!! 

Throughout my career, I have learned that everyone has a ministry; coincidentally, my ministry involves teaching. I am thankful for the opportunity to mold and shape our "Future." My personal motto is the following: "Whatever It Takes", for I am willing to go beyond the call of duty because I cannot leave a child behind!! Children do not grow at the same rate or speed; however, every child will experience growth within my classroom.

My family consists of my husband Randy and two boys Tony and Jeremy. We live in the Dickinson community which is only ten miles from GHES. I am an active member of Thomasville Church of God in Christ. My hobbies are the following: cooking, decorating, watching old movies/television shows, and sleeping.
