    This Message is from Clarke County High School Principal, Debra Dennis.

     

    Assignments have been prepared for ALL Clarke County High School Students in their core subjects.  The school will be open Tuesday, March 24th from 1:00 PM- 2:00 PM, for students to pickup books and/or assignment packets. The packets will cover several days worth of work. Some of this work has already been posted to the teachers webpages located on the CCHS website.

    Larry Bagley announces a change in this week's schedule. Classes in the Clarke County School District will be held Monday, March 16, however, after Monday, there will not be classes until April 6. Attendance on Monday is not mandatory and will be excused.  All staff is to report Monday as usual.  There will be no classes on Tuesday, March 17, and Wednesday, March 18 as previously announced. 

     

    The Clarke County School District will continue to give updates through the app, the website and call notifications.

    Larry Bagley, Superintendent of the Clarke County School District announces school closings for Clarke County High School, Jackson High School, Jackson Intermediate School, Wilson Hall Middle School, Joe M. Gillmore Elementary School, Grove Hill Elementary School and Jackson Middle School based on the following announcement.

     

    The Alabama State Department of Education, Superintendent, Eric Mackey has released the following memo due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. Effective Thursday, March 19, 2020, All Public Schools in the state of Alabama shall close facilities until Monday, April 6, 2020. All school events, such as performances, plays, athletic events, athletic practices, etc., are suspended during this period of school closure. We will continue to reassess the evolving situation and provide ongoing communication and guidance as we all continue to monitor the latest public health updates from the ADPH and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
