Jackson Intermediate Families,

It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that I welcome you to the 2022-23 academic year at our school. I am honored to serve my JIS family as Principal and look forward to making this a great school year. I am confident that we will continue to provide our students with a nurturing and rigorous school experience.

I have been an active lifetime member of the Clarke County School District. I am a 1999 Jackson High School alumni. I returned in January of 2004 to serve as a passionate first grade teacher at Grove Hill Elementary. I feel very fortunate to be expanding my role within the district as principal, and I am blessed to be a part of the Aggie Nation. My desire to become an administrator came from a strong passion to make a positive impact on an entire school community as well as to help build the capacity of teachers and students as we move forward.

Outside of JIS, I enjoy every minute I get to spend with my husband, Brock, and our children. I enjoy greatly traveling to Destin, FL to enjoy the beach life. My hobbies include researching and reading professional literature, leading praise and worship at my church, and spending time with my family in Birmingham. My favorite quote is "A DREAM written down with a date becomes a GOAL. A goal broken down into steps becomes a PLAN. A plan backed by ACTION becomes REALITY.

I am looking forward to building life-long relationships with each of you. You will find that my door is always open and I am always here to support you in any possible way.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
