Mrs. Emily Rocker McDonald

I am a Rocker-McDonald a 4th grade teacher at Jackson Intermediate School. I began my career teaching in the Mobile County Public School System in 2001. I began teaching in Clarke County in 2002. Here I am the Fourth Grade AMSTI representative. I received my B.A. in Elementary Education from Stillman College in 2001. I received my M.A. in Early Childhood/ Elementary Education from the University of West Alabama and my Masters of Arts in School Counseling in May 2010.   On March 18, 2006, I married Stephen McDonald, who is from McIntosh, Al. We now have A little angel named Emilia and a little prince named Stephen Jr. I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc and the National Association of Advancement for Colored People. I am a member of the Union Baptist Church in Coffeeville, Al., where I am a member of the Matron Society and choir. Teaching has always been a dream of mine. I was inspired by many educators that are and were a part of my family. Many of them also taught in Clarke County. My parents have also been a great inspiration in my life and have encouraged me to go to the top while taking others with me.
