Mrs. Sara Atkins Rivers

I began teaching in Clarke County in 2003. I currently teach 6th grade Social Studies at Jackson Middle School. I graduated from University of West Alabama in 2002 with a B.S. in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. I received my M.Ed. in Education in 2004. I am married to Kenneth Rivers, and I have 3 children. Jack is 11 years old, and Emmie and Lizzie are 5 years old!  They are the loves of my life... Making memories with my husband, children, and students are both very important to me! My hobbies include reading, traveling, visiting the beach, Alabama Football (ROLL TIDE!!), and spending time with my family. My father was an educator for 35 years. He encouraged me to make a difference in the life of a child! He is a very strong part of my support system. My mother is a registered nurse who has always been an awesome role model for me. I would not be where I am today without their support!
