Clarke County High School Protocol for Sporting Events

Clarke County High School Protocol for Sporting Events

In an effort to make Clarke County High School football games enjoyable and safe for all fans, the following guidelines will be enforced at all sporting events beginning September 12, 2019. We are taking these steps to ensure safety measures at all sports events. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to the protocol. These steps will be communicated thoroughly and repeatedly with all students, faculty, staff, parents, as well as spectators.

  • The number of police officers at CCHS home football games and other sporting events will be increased.
  • Metal detector wands will be used at gates for security measures.
  • There will be a uniformed officer at both gates - the home and visitor gates for the duration of the game.
  • All security should be positioned throughout the stadium and on patrol.
  • There will be absolutely no passes out; everyone entering the game must buy a ticket regardless of the amount of time remaining in the game.
  • Any suspicious attire may warrant an additional search of individuals.
  • No backpacks, man-bags, oversized purses, outside food or beverages allowed.
  • No standing along the fenced area in front of the fans.
  • No parking on Oak Street.
  • Officers will monitor end zones during the games.

Fans need to understand that a safe and orderly environment promotes a better football experience for everyone. Thus, it is important that all fans comply with all the rules and requests made at this time. Failure to do so will result in the removal of fans from the stadium.
